It is absolutely normal to feel some anxiety while speaking in front of a group!

Evolutionary biologists believe that we are programmed this way as a defense mechanism because thousands of years ago if you are out in the forest and you are completely exposed – Lions, tigers or other creatures can come see you exposed, attack you and eat you. The chance of you not being eaten is very less. So, when you stand up to speak to give a presentation you are feeling like I am exposed. These people could come at me and eat me. That is why your hands are perspiring. Your body could be perspiring because your body is trying to protect you.

I do want you to realize it’s completely normal to have some fear or some anxiety. So, one of the best ways to get over it is to practice in front of your mobile phone, see entire video, write down what you like and what you don’t like and keep doing it until you like what you see.

So, my point is no one’s a superhuman. I’m not a superhuman. Everyone is nervous. I was nervous when I went to do my 1st presentation in engineering school. So, relax if you feel uncomfortable, nervous or even fearful of speaking situations it just means your normal.

This is just the TRAILER, please watch this short video and start using this technique from today.

Leading from Within: Unveiling the Power of Self-Leadership

Do you know which 3 things happen naturally in organizations?

Friction, confusion & underperformance. Everything else requires leadership – said Renowned management expert Peter Drucker.

However, I propose a shift in perspective, 3 things happen naturally in us: resistance to change, self-doubt & lack of motivation. Everything else requires self-leadership. Just as gravity pulls us downhill effortlessly, so do our habits often incline us towards the path of least resistance.

But consider this: everything worthwhile in life is uphill. In this uphill journey, self-leadership serves as the compass guiding our ascent.

What is the starting point for going uphill? Self-leadership.

I am coming up with a training program on developing your self-leadership skills. This program will include many things including:

  1. Power of self-leadership
  2. Know and conquer your inner world
  3. You are unique, finding your A-game
  4. Master your emotional life
  5. Self-leadership strategies for implementation

Friends, as we embark on this journey of self-discovery and empowerment, remember that the path ahead may be arduous, but the rewards are immeasurable. Every step taken towards self-leadership brings us closer to the summit of our aspirations. So, stay tuned for the upcoming training program on developing your self-leadership skills.

𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁?

To get correct answers in life, we need to ask ourselves correct questions first and then think about them. How often have you encountered someone who not only posed powerful questions but also held you accountable for answering them?

One of the very important roles of a coach is to ask sharp and right questions at the right time and in the right way.

In my relentless pursuit of enhancing my coaching arsenal, I have recognized 𝗡𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗼-𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗡𝗟𝗣) as a valuable tool within the realm of psychology that complements my coaching approach.

Within the context of coaching, clients often inquire about the Return on Investment (𝗥𝗢𝗜). In response, I emphasize the importance of commitment, reassuring clients that it leads to tangible benefits such as clarity of thought, insights and a concrete action plan. Furthermore, I emphasize the 𝗥𝗢𝗤 (Returns on Questions), where as their coach, I guide them through strategic questioning to prompt deeper introspection and growth.

With my 𝗡𝗟𝗣 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, I am able to positively impact my clients in their transformation journey in a more powerful way.

Earning respect from others is deeply rooted in how we perceive and value ourselves. Our self-image isn’t innate; it’s shaped by the messages we receive from the world around us. Unfortunately, for many, existing in environments that don’t inherently respect them leads to internalizing that lack of respect. They begin to doubt themselves, diminishing their own self-worth.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵: 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝘄𝗵𝘆? Because you won’t believe it is true! Even if others do, it won’t truly register because you lack self-respect. Thus, the journey to gaining the world’s respect starts with learning to respect yourself.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. If you don’t uphold respect for your own contributions, how can you expect newcomers to do so? You’ve been integral to shaping what this organization stands for today.

Everywhere you look, there are imperfections. If you say this is not okay, that is not okay. 𝗜𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵. 𝗜𝗳 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵.

If you lose respect for your profession because of societal perceptions, you perpetuate that lack of respect. Doctors, lawyers, engineers among others – all esteemed professions – command respect because those within them honor their roles. The same should apply to people in sales. If you devalue your own profession, how can you expect the world to view it differently?

This concept extends beyond careers. For us, celebrating our capabilities and potential is essential. Without recognizing and respecting these inherent qualities, gaining the world’s respect becomes an uphill battle. True respect must emanate from within; it cannot be reliant on external validation.
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝘀 – 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂. Respect is built only from the womb of self-respect.

6 Causes of Stress

Today, working professionals are running everywhere for work, family, home and social events. A big to-do list and not enough time to complete the tasks. Ever wondered, what happens inside our body during this time? On top of that, what happens to our body if we do this for many months and years? All this constant running around uses enormous amount of energy from our body. We go in stress mode. As Deepak Chopra said, “stress is a state of imbalance that is experienced by each and every cell in our body.” This means, we are putting all our cells in a state that is not desirable.

Why are we stressed?

Everyone has different stress triggers. Here are 6 causes of stress.

  1. Workload: Excessively high workload and unrealistic deadlines at work.
  2. Sedentary lifestyle: On workdays, we go through a routine from the morning starting from brushing, shower, breakfast and going to office. Then at work, we sit for most of the time and work in front of laptop or we are in meetings. At lunchtime, we eat our lunch, come back and do more work while sitting. When we come home, we take care of our family responsibilities. We eat dinner and sleep. Physical exercise is required for proper functioning of our internal body systems. If this does not happen, our body goes in stress.
  3. Sensory overload: In today’s world, we have busy schedules both at work and at home. In addition, we are bombarded with data from all sides. We browse through forwards, images and watch & listen videos on our smart phone. We face traffic and noises on roads. We have strong aromas and variety of tastes. This is called sensory overload. Sensory overload can result from the overstimulation of any of the senses. For 1 stimulus from the environment, our body has to go through 3 trillion calculations and this uses tremendous energy available in our body. Now, imagine the number of stimuli we are subjecting ourselves to everyday!
  4. Different roles we play: As working professionals, at home we play different roles of a mother, father, brother, sister, son and daughter. At work, we are either an individual contributor or a manager or both. We participate in social events. In addition, we are neighbors. Each of these roles comes with a set of responsibilities. If there is no proper understanding of these roles and there is no proper planning, we go haywire.
  5. Food: What we eat, how much we eat, when we eat, how frequently we eat and what is our state of mind when we eat – all these factors affect the internal workings of our body.
  6. Lack of physical exercise: Our body can produce energy only if we exercise. Our body is designed in such a way that it can help us, but it cannot help itself. For example, our hands and fingers help us lift and grab different things, but the hand cannot help itself. We have to help our hands by exercising. We have to take care of our body.
